Prior to being appointed, Asha worked as an Agent Special in the New York Division of the FBI which specialized in counterintelligence investigations. She assessed national security threats and carried out classified investigations regarding suspected foreign agents. Asha's experience in the FBI comprised interviews, electronic surveillance and interrogating methods, as well as firearms and deadly force. Asha is a graduate of the Princeton School of Public and International Affairs and was given a Fulbright to pursue constitutional reform in Bogota.
